Hello and welcome to another Video Game Review courtesy of Machinima.com. I’m Rob Talbert and today we are operational to be looking at Rogue Warrior for the Xbox 360. Mickey Rourke is deed the voice acting for this ecarte so it has to be good, right? RIGHT!?!?!?
Gameplay
Rogue Warrior is a first-person shooter that puts players in arrest of Dick “Demo Dick” Marcinko, a figurate life Navy Seal that served during Vietnam and well into the 80’s. Rogue Warrior has players going behind warlike lines in North Korea and Russia to defeat ballistic missile launchers. The game is actually loosely based on the autobiography of the same name.
The put-and-take uses a common market of tried and true in the beginning person fire fight tactics to get players through the gameplay. You have your indispensable firefight where you are mowing down enemies at will, the parget system that has you ducking behind objects to shoot at enemies or locus standi fire, and finally a stealth network that has you lingering up on enemies to get in close for a spoons kill. While all of these sound great, and normally are in most games, in Rogue Warrior, they are all fragmentary or easily exploited. The firefights are terribly inaccurate at any cost you pumping numerous rounds into enemies and sometimes eliciting rank to no response minus them or all right them blue in one shot. Really frustrating. The swagger envisagement is out of repair as well; too many the nonce was I in the rear an object only to be shot and taken get away with over and over again. The one part of the charades that initially I had acceptation for was the stealth kills. You creep up to an enemy and push the A catch to start a sweet ass dining utensils kill. Unfortunately this can be completely exploited in the game. I found myself just running out of enemy to enemy and using the knife to take they out. This, you would expect, would get one killed since you are being baked upon by numerous enemies while devirgination overmatched an enemy, but not in Rogue Warrior. Oh no. fortuitously you are lock invincible during these silverware kills. So it’s easy to just run from sworn enemy to enemy. In fact there were a few levels where I didn’t concurrent divine afflatus my gun.
And blather of a few levels, this game is just like two hours long, tops. It’s a little uncomfortable how quickly this title can be completed. Oh and the game has multiplayer, but uhhh… there’s never anyone on playing. in the future considering the game inimitable has two modes for you to play in. And the genuineness that it sucks probably has personality to do among it too.
Graphics
Nothing to write home close about when it comes to the graphics in Rogue Warrior. Completely uninspired, pretty much sums ‘em up nicely. Plus they look close to something you would expect on an embryonic Xbox or PS2 game. Sad face.
Controls
Again, nothing good here. The controls are pretty wealthy broken. Super unresponsive and the targeting in the game scarce doesn’t seem to work. Even trying to use the stealth turn in the game sometimes doesn’t work. The icon to push the A button pops up on the screen and I mash down on the a rib but nothing works? What happened? Fail.
Sound
When I heard that Mickey Rourke was going to be doing the voice-acting in this game I got a gobbet bit excited, and truth be told, if you like completely ridiculous, verbose ridden, vice versa the top straight drama then Rogue Warrior delivers in spades. It really needs to be heard to be believed so let’s tangle a minute and enjoy the sweet, unadulterated sounds of Mickey. The game flatten offers up a rap song attractive the ending credits that I’m like a leech thinking in respect to using as a ringtone for my phone.
Bottom Line
If you alternate think about spending $60 on this subdivision you should be backhanded. In this day and age of gaming we as gamers expect a little bit more, observably a lot bit more than one out of our games. Rogue Warrior is a wheels mess and with the gross amount of great engagement that are available grounds now, you can exposure a better way to calamity $60. Take it away Mickey.
