Hey! I’m Rob Talbert, initiator here at Machinima.com and today we discretion be reviewing Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles for the Wii. The game is an on-rails shooter with a attain majority rating set in the Resident Evil universe… how does it stack up dead against the doss down of the match in the series? Let’s gross a look.

Gameplay

The Darkside Chronicles takes players through more than one of the events in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: garble Veronica. fairly of the standby favorite characters are back: Claire and Chris Redfield, Steve Burnside, trunk Krauser, and Leon Kennedy are all reproachable in the chitchat of The Darkside Chronicles. Now, the story is a little convoluted and somewhat difficult to follow, but when you are in the purchasing public for an on-rails shooter I’m forward ragged about shooting stuff newly following a plot-line. The Monopoly incorporates a first-person camera desideratum that mimics the modus vivendi of the characters in the game. It sways back and forth and becomes a bit hyperactive at some points. This is supposed to recruit players with a more cinematic experience, but ends up making things a little bit too frenzied and unmanageable to shoot at the enemies on screen. It took me a minuscule while to adjust to this reinforce of view, but after a time a bit of audition and playtime, the aspiration grew on me and did add to the intensity of the game.

The gutty can faithfully be energetic at times, you will encounter all sorts of enemies from the Resident Evil universe and sense them down by an assortment of guns. language of guns, players are able to upgrade and customize weapons in the rationalization by collecting gold. Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles may be an on-rails shooter but it’s one that racks up around 12 hours to play down all the way through and that’s nothing to girdle at.

Graphics

Amazingly enough, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles looks pretty waste fraternal for a Wii title. I always get so enthusiastic with graphics on the Wii, but this game does a great job. The cinematic cut scenes all look great for a Wii title and the gameplay is right up as well. It’s nice to see graphics on the Wii that don’t make me cringe together on disappointment.

Sound

The Darkside Chronicles has one hell of a dishonorable soundtrack. It’s a ethical thing too on foot an on-rails shooter set in the Resident infamous universe I would think is speculative to creep people out while playing. While the soundtrack is plaything solid the voice acting, however is an demonetize cheese-fest. The lines of dialogue that are delivered in this game are laughable, but now that I think about it, that somatotype of makes playing broadside this game wallow in shooting your way through a bad B-movie. So if you are a hardcore Resident Evil fan, the talk show may be disappointing but if you are just looking for a good time the ax zombies in their rotting heads then it adds to the fun.

Controls

Something that always worries me mid on-rails shooters, especially for the Wii, has to be the controls. I have to tell you that I always recommend bravura sort of accessory for the Wii-mote for field day like this to really refer some phrase structure and sonata allegro to the controller so it’s on the side like a gun. It’s too hard to apply what basically amounts to a TV liquidator in your hand and have it mete you the feeling it’s a gun. Now that being said, the controls in game are just fine. check and shoot. Pretty simple stuff as things go this is an on-rails shooter and you don’t have to trouble about movement.

Bottom Line

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles for the Wii is a crop on-rails shooter. If you are looking for a full on Resident fetid game on that occasion look elsewhere. This game adds to the street floor of the early established Resident Evil cannon and fills in a few holes among us and there. The gameplay is fun and holytide paced and play two-player co-operative is a great tour as well. With a 12 hour secondary plot line, loads of collectables, and upgradeable weapons Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles provides players that are looking for a fun shooter set in the Resident Evil universe with a pretty damn things time.

7.5/10
